043 SWBC Professional Employer Services V LLC is looking for a Payroll Specialist I to be the primary representative for our PEO clients and their shared employees. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of payroll for assigned employees, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of multi-state payrolls across weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly schedules. You'll join a thriving team environment enthusiastic about providing personalized HR support.
What You'll Do
- Maintain payroll-related accounts and process multi-state payroll for various pay schedules.
- Ensure the reconciliation and accuracy of the payroll system.
- Prepare forms, enter data, compute wages and deductions, and post to payroll records.
- Interact directly with clients to resolve payroll questions and issues.
- Maintain and process records for salary changes, deductions, terminations, and employee information updates.
- Work collaboratively with clients to resolve any payroll discrepancies.
- Process wage garnishments.
- Collect and ensure new hire paperwork is accurately processed in payroll and timekeeping systems.
- Maintain W-4 and I-9 documents for all new client hires and process E-Verify.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in payroll processing, garnishments & general deductions, and W-2 & I-9 maintenance.
Nice to Have
- An advanced degree.
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
- Bilingual language skills.
