The University of Cincinnati is looking for a Payroll Practitioner 1 to assist management in completing assigned activities to produce accurate payroll results for our community of 17,000+ employees. You will communicate professionally with employees and co-workers, applying University policies and procedures to your daily duties.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver timely and accurate customer service to employee and partner requests for information.
  • Validate data from multiple sources, input it into the payroll system, and verify for correctness.
  • Process bi-weekly, monthly, and off-cycle payroll runs and submit associated ACH/check files.
  • Report on results for tax entities.
  • Reconcile tax payments.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee personal information.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need.

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two (2) years of payroll experience.
  • Experience with the core Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and an aptitude to utilize these tools daily.

Nice to Have

  • Prior customer service experience.
  • FPC Designation.
