As a Payroll Implementation Consultant, you will lead the functional delivery of payroll system implementations for clients across Finland. Working entirely remotely, you'll act as the primary point of contact during project execution, managing requirements gathering, solution configuration, and end-to-end validation to ensure successful deployment of the payroll platform.
What You'll Do
You will lead client kickoff meetings and facilitate discussions to define functional needs. You'll collect and analyze payroll data to complete implementation workbooks, identify variances from standard configurations, and collaborate with internal product specialists to configure the system accordingly. Your role includes validating payroll outputs and integrations during testing cycles, performing data checks across systems, and resolving discrepancies.
You'll coordinate defect tracking with technical teams, define workarounds when necessary, and support user acceptance and parallel testing phases. A key responsibility is ensuring seamless handover through structured knowledge transfer to operational support teams responsible for ongoing payroll management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in functional consulting within payroll software or outsourcing environments
- Strong understanding of Finnish payroll regulations, tax rules, and labor legislation
- Familiarity with full-cycle payroll implementation projects
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to document client requirements clearly
- Ability to assess risks and propose practical, cost-effective solutions
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across all organizational levels
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Detail-oriented mindset with proactive problem-solving abilities
- Adaptability to work in a fast-moving, global remote environment
