About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule for employees in multiple regions
  • Ensure compliance with Portuguese and EU payroll regulations
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to reconcile payroll data
  • Maintain up-to-date employee compensation records
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers
  • Identify and correct payroll discrepancies promptly
  • Support month-end and year-end payroll closing activities
  • Verify timesheet data and attendance records for accuracy
  • Assist in audits by providing accurate payroll documentation
  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws and labor regulations
  • Prepare reports related to wages, deductions, and employer contributions
  • Coordinate with external partners such as tax authorities and pension providers
  • Implement payroll system updates and improvements
  • Ensure data privacy and confidentiality in all payroll processes
  • Support onboarding and offboarding procedures related to payroll
  • Track and report on overtime, bonuses, and commissions
  • Manage statutory reporting requirements for social security and taxes
  • Assist in payroll process automation initiatives
  • Train team members on payroll policies and procedures
  • Monitor payroll workflows to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain documentation for payroll processes and controls
