Sun King is looking for a Payroll Associate to join our team in Nairobi. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timely delivery of payroll services across our assigned markets. You will serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and our in-country third-party payroll vendors, playing a key part in maintaining governance, data confidentiality, and process efficiency.

What You'll Do

Manage end-to-end payroll including salaries, bonuses, and deductions, ensuring accuracy for all employees.
Co-ordinate monthly with HRBPs, Finance, and other departments for payroll inputs and fund transfers.
Ensure adherence to tax regulations, labour laws, and statutory requirements, including filing payroll taxes and reports.
Maintain monthly statutory tax receipts for all assigned countries without fail.
Update payroll records for new hires, terminations, transfers, and changes in job status or compensation.
Compile and present payroll data summaries, including earnings, taxes, and deductions for management review.
Resolve employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, deductions, and paychecks.
Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records.
Assist with and provide documents for audits, managing both internal and external payroll audits.

What We're Looking For

3+ years of experience in payroll process management.
Working knowledge of payroll software.
Basic knowledge of tax procedures.
Familiarity with benefits and other wage deductions.
Multi-tasking abilities, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
