About the Role

The Healthcare Service Coordinator (HSC) acts as the primary interface between the medical facility and patients. This position embodies organizational principles and concentrates on establishing supportive connections with patients and healthcare colleagues to provide exceptional patient experiences. The HSC guarantees superior service by identifying and addressing patient requirements related to intake and care, potentially involving patient reception, verification of patient-supplied information, and check-in/out procedures. The following states are currently paused for sourcing new candidates or for new relocation requests from current healthcare professionals: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington. A video consultation through Microsoft Teams will be required, along with potential in-person interviews and discussions. Essential Responsibilities: - Delivers courteous and professional patient interactions via phone, in-person, or secure messaging. Resolves patient needs to ensure outstanding customer experiences. - Accurately documents all communications in electronic medical records (EMR). - Coordinates patient appointments for consultations, procedures, diagnostic evaluations, referrals, and assessments. - Registers patients by confirming, inputting, and updating demographic information for patients and guarantors. Follows identification protocols. - Collects insurance documentation, identification materials, and required signatures. May verify insurance coordination and authorization details. - Assists patients in completing regulatory and billing documentation. Scans paperwork, provides financial assistance guidance, and proactively manages payment collection. - Maintains current professional knowledge through ongoing training, email reviews, system updates, and departmental meetings.
