DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT)

DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct patient care in an outpatient dialysis center. You will build long-term relationships with patients suffering from end-stage renal disease and work as part of a holistic care team.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct one-on-one patient care for safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment.
• Care for multiple patients.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording stats and patient observations.
• Perform hemodialysis machine setup.
• Build long-term relationships with patients receiving treatment an average of 3 times per week.
• Educate patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
• Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).

What We're Looking For

• Desire to enter the health care field to care for other people in need.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be comfortable working around blood and needles.
• Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb.
• Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet.
• Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
• Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to Have

• Health care experience a plus including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.

Team & Environment

You will work within a cross functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers and leadership, reporting to a Registered Nurse (RN).
