Deliver critical, hands-on care to patients undergoing dialysis for end-stage renal disease. You’ll be responsible for preparing and maintaining dialysis machines, tracking vital signs, and observing patients throughout their treatment to ensure safety and comfort. Your role ensures each session runs smoothly and adheres to clinical protocols.
What You'll Do
- Assist in delivering dialysis treatments with attention to hygiene, safety, and patient dignity
- Monitor patient condition before, during, and after therapy
- Operate and maintain dialysis equipment according to standards
- Document patient data and report changes to supervising nurses
- Support patient education on kidney disease and treatment plans
- Work alongside nurses, dietitians, and social workers to support holistic care
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Comfort with medical settings involving blood, needles, and clinical equipment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and assist patients with mobility
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to travel between nearby clinics as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior certification or experience in healthcare, such as CNA, MA, CHT, or phlebotomy
