Teach, inspire, and lead in a dynamic summer learning environment. We are seeking dedicated part-time Youth Program Instructors to deliver enriching STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) experiences for students ages 6 to 16. This role is central to shaping weekly summer programs that run from July 8th through August 2nd, 2024, with mandatory training scheduled prior to the start.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with program staff to design and adapt age-appropriate curriculum
- Lead interactive lessons and hands-on activities that promote curiosity and critical thinking
- Supervise and mentor camp counselors to ensure consistent program delivery
- Support daily operations, including safety protocols and student engagement
- Attend required pre-camp training sessions
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and be prepared to complete all required clearances, including the PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Criminal Background Check. All applicants must also complete Mandated Reporter Training prior to the start of the camp season.
Preference will be given to those with prior experience in education or youth programming, particularly in camp or informal learning settings.
Work Environment
