Penn State Athletics is looking for a Part-Time Student Sports Information Worker to support our sports communications and operations. This role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced athletics environment.
What You'll Do
- Maintain statistics and records for several sports.
- Assist with game-day operations.
- Call and input statistics during events.
- Prepare and distribute press releases.
- Write news releases and event recaps.
- Update social media accounts.
- Assist in the live streaming of athletic events.
- Prepare game programs.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Availability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
- The ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
Nice to Have
- Strong writing skills.
- General knowledge of athletics.
- Graphic design and video production experience.
Work Mode
This is an on-site position.
