The Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science at Pennsylvania State University is hiring a Part-Time Research Assistant to contribute to a project focused on advancing atmospheric techniques for determining neighborhood-scale greenhouse gas emissions.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to advancing atmospheric techniques to determine neighborhood-scale greenhouse gas emissions.
- Compare atmospheric technique results to corresponding high-resolution inventory estimates.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in meteorology or a related field.
- Excellent coding skills, preferably in Python or Matlab.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to advise undergraduate students.
- Leadership potential.
Nice to Have
- Experience with micrometeorological techniques such as Monin Obukhov Similarity Theory.
- Familiarity with high-accuracy concentration and flux measurements of greenhouse gases.
