International SOS Government Medical Services is seeking a Paramedic to join our team in Kuwait. In this critical role, you will apply your expertise in evidence-based medicine and Intl.SOS protocols to manage emergent situations and treat a variety of injuries and illnesses. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct and indirect medical care for patients in urgent scenarios.
What You'll Do
- Provide 24/7 365 emergent EMS response on site.
- Deliver paramedicine pre-hospital support to patients within the site, outside the site, and during transfer to higher levels of care.
- Manage ambulance operations and EMS response as primary responsibilities.
- Assist medical providers with procedures and treatments within your licensed scope.
- Assess and document patient vital signs, chief complaint, medical history, and medications.
- Report all changes in patient condition to the medical provider.
- Proactively administer basic paramedic-level care within standing orders and SOPs.
- Assist patients with basic care and activities of daily living as needed.
- Provide support and education to help patients make responsible health decisions.
- Maintain Area of Responsibility supply inventory and restock EMS units.
- Cross-train to work within clinics, the emergency room, and inpatient units.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 1 year of paramedic experience in a busy 911 system.
- Current unrestricted US license as a Paramedic.
- Paramedic Level Certification (NRP) from the National Registry (NREMT).
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certification.
- A valid passport with at least 18 months validity before renewal.
- Excellent written and oral English.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness to work with a foreign national patient population.
- Ability to work effectively with persons of diverse age and economic background.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a remote setting.
- Prior military or fire experience.
- Tactical Combat Casualty Care or Pre-Hospital Trauma Course.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.
