Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Paralegal to support attorneys within a collaborative, litigation-focused practice. This remote role, based in California, involves case preparation, document review, and legislative tracking, contributing to a stable, mission-driven environment dedicated to supporting California communities.
What You'll Do
- Draft basic legal documents and conduct initial review of discovery responses.
- Coordinate depositions and assist with preparation for small claims court hearings.
- Gather and organize case files for review by external counsel.
- Maintain and update the roster of ongoing litigation to track progress.
- Review and process legal invoices and vendor fees in a timely manner.
- Monitor pending and enacted legislation relevant to operations.
- Support attorneys with legal analysis and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a litigation-focused legal practice.
- Bachelor’s degree and certified paralegal credentials.
- Residence in California and strong familiarity with the California Code of Civil Procedure.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
- Comfortable reviewing statutes, regulations, and interpreting legal texts accurately.
