Zirtual is seeking a Paralegal to provide remote, practice-area-specific support to law firm clients as an independent contractor. You will be the main point of contact for assigned clients, responsible for executing a wide range of paralegal tasks and projects on time and to a high quality standard.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned law firm client(s) and work independently with them.
- Draft and review a variety of simple and complex legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
- Organize, track, and respond to discovery requests and demands.
- Review, analyze, and create summaries of records, depositions, and research.
- Conduct legal research and perform due diligence and compliance reviews.
- Act as a liaison with clients, opposing counsel, government entities, courts, and third parties.
- File and eFile with state and federal courts and government entities.
- Manage case or transaction records, maintain files, and monitor milestones.
- Provide trial support, including organizing evidence and drafting motions.
- Attend virtual law firm meetings to discuss cases, deadlines, and strategy.
- Maintain consistent and proactive communication with clients and your Account Supervisor.
- Ensure tasks are executed on time and to the highest level of quality.
- Maintain detailed client profiles and an internal conflict checking system.
- Perform file and document management, provide organizational support, and draft boilerplate documents.
- Coordinate with third parties, obtain hearing dates, manage basic client relationships, and request information.
- Manage email and calendars, create new matters in case management software, and create exhibit charts.
- Coordinate signings and depositions, attend meetings, and take notes.
- Enter time daily using a provided tool and respond to communication within established expectations.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience handling paralegal work as outlined in this posting.
- Proven experience working remotely with a home office setup including a reliable computer, WiFi, and phone.
- Extensive experience with case/transaction management and drafting software, specific to your practice area.
- Experience with standard office software like Microsoft 365 products and Google.
- Available during standard business hours Monday-Friday, unless otherwise arranged with specific clients.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Organized, self-sufficient, and able to self-manage workload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Technologically proficient and willing to navigate new case management systems.
- Detail oriented to ensure work product is generally free from errors.
- Solution-based approach to problem-solving.

Team & Environment
