Walkers is looking for a Paralegal to support our lawyers in delivering legal services across investment funds, regulatory, corporate, insolvency and dispute resolution, and finance matters. You will play a key role in our global firm, trusted to handle complex procedural work and client liaison while upholding our commitment to excellence and diversity.
What You'll Do
- Draft, proofread, and prepare a wide range of legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, agreements, resolutions, and filings.
- Assist with legal research, reviewing records, and supporting due diligence efforts.
- Maintain accurate and organized client and matter files, ensuring records, registers, and documentation are kept up‑to‑date.
- Liaise with instructing counsel, clients, and professional parties on enquiries.
- Support lawyers with closing processes, transaction management, checklists, and preparation of closing documentation.
- Manage document production, certification, notarisation, and legalisation processes as required.
- Liaise with foreign office secretaries or third‑party service providers to arrange filings and obtain updated corporate documents.
- Research and analyse law sources such as statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, and legal codes.
- Prepare legal documents such as briefs, affidavits, contracts, deeds, and closing binders for review by lawyers.
- Proactively manage incorporation, fund registration, and de‑registration processes.
- Prepare draft launch resolutions, constitutional documents, and statutory filing forms.
- Assist responsible lawyers in private equity investments, M&A, and general corporate work.
- Conduct company and court searches.
- Prepare first drafts of standard form documents including legal opinions, directors' certificates, and security agreements.
- Prepare and maintain closing checklists, actively managing the closing process.
What We're Looking For
- A law degree or equivalent paralegal qualification.
- Paralegal experience within a law firm or similar professional services firm.
- Integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Strong attention to detail and a well‑organized approach to work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with lawyers, clients, and team members at all levels.
- Ability to work successfully in a collaborative environment as a supportive team player.
