Florida Power & Light Company / NextEra Energy is hiring a Paralegal to provide critical support to its affiliate, EverBright, in the residential solar business. In this role, you will focus on installer agreements, legal disputes, and regulatory matters, working closely with in-house counsel, compliance, and business partners. The paralegal will manage a high volume of legal escalations, including attorney demands, regulatory complaints, and customer disputes.
What You'll Do
- Draft and manage ancillary contract documents like amendments, terminations, releases, and notices.
- Support UCC filings and lien reviews.
- Maintain organized records in iManage.
- Handle NDA review and coordination.
- Assist with settlements.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of litigation, bankruptcy, and regulatory developments affecting EverBright and its business partners.
- Manage intake and triage of legal escalations from Salesforce and the legal shared mailbox.
- Draft standardized responses to opposing counsel and regulators under attorney supervision.
- Maintain escalation logs and case documentation.
- Track deadlines and follow-up actions.
- Perform legal and transaction-related research.
- Participate in special projects or activities related to the legal discipline being supported.
What We're Looking For
- High School Grad / GED.
- Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent Experience.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
Nice to Have
- Paralegal Certification.
