Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is hiring a Palletizer Operator to operate production packaging equipment safely and efficiently in a 24/7 dairy manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on night shift role requiring shift flexibility and physical labor.
What You'll Do
- Operate production packaging equipment including automated case forming and packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Set-up, operate, and replenish fiber gluer and/or taping equipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in detail without deviation.
- Generate pallet identification labels verifying case quantity, product, product ID, and production dates.
- Set-up case coding equipment and validate product case codes per specifications.
- Verify and record accurate product case quantities.
- Identify and communicate any out-of-specification product conditions following established protocol.
- Perform routine equipment adjustments, change-overs, clean-up operations, and set-up.
- Operate a lift truck safely.
- Accurately complete production records and documents.
- Perform environmental controls.
- Perform product reclaim and rework operations in accordance with reclaim guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of two years of demonstrated work experience in food manufacturing.
- Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Truck).
- Strong math skills.
- Strong technical skills, ability to operate and understand equipment controls, touch panels and mechanical operations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50-lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Shift flexibility for a 24/7 manufacturing facility.
Nice to Have
- Dairy food manufacturing experience.
- Advanced quality/food safety training and/or certifications.
- A working understanding of food manufacturing acronyms (SQF, QA/QC, CQP, QAP, HACCP, SOP, 5S, GMP, etc.).
