SCUSA Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is hiring a Packaging Operator to run production packaging equipment safely and efficiently in our 24/7 dairy manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for equipment setup, operation, quality verification, and accurate documentation to support our production goals.
What You'll Do
- Operate production packaging equipment, including automated case forming and packaging systems, safely and efficiently.
- Set-up, operate, and replenish fiber gluer and/or taping equipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in detail without deviation.
- Generate pallet identification labels verifying case quantity, product, product ID, and production dates.
- Set-up case coding equipment and validate product case codes against specifications.
- Verify and record accurate product case quantities.
- Identify and communicate any out-of-specification product conditions, following the established notification protocol.
- Perform routine equipment adjustments.
- Safely operate a lift truck.
- Accurately and neatly complete production records and documents.
- Perform equipment change-overs, clean-up operations, and set-up.
- Perform environmental controls.
- Perform product reclaim and rework operations according to guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of two years of demonstrated work experience in food manufacturing.
- Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a Powered Industrial Truck certification.
- Strong math skills.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to operate and understand equipment controls, touch panels, and mechanical operations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Shift flexibility for a 24/7 manufacturing facility.
Nice to Have
- Dairy food manufacturing experience.
- Advanced quality or food safety training and/or certifications.
- A working understanding of food manufacturing acronyms (e.g., SQF, QA/QC, HACCP, SOP, GMP).
