LKQ Corporation is looking for an Outside Procurement Specialist to manage the procurement of repairable and resalable goods like cars, wheels, lights, and core products. You'll be responsible for planning daily activities, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring a steady flow of quality inventory.
What You'll Do
- Maintain purchase manifests and supplier accounts.
- Determine and plan your daily route and vendor visits.
- Deliver payment to vendors.
- Identify potential new customers and establish relationships.
- Maintain awareness of company inventory and supply needs.
- Build a network of customers to sustain consistent quality and volume purchases.
- Communicate directly with leadership and peers about competitive situations, market conditions, and scheduling.
- May work with leadership to negotiate pricing and purchase terms.
- May process orders and manage relationships.
- May inspect products for proof of ownership and attach titles or certificates of destruction.
- May load goods onto a truck or coordinate shipment, verify manifests, and validate paperwork accuracy.
- May organize delivery and unloading of goods.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of related experience.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to pass an MVR and drug test.
- If driving a vehicle with a 10,001+ GVWR, must have medical certification.
- Must qualify for corporate insurance programs, including vehicle insurance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of replacement parts for the aftermarket collision repair industry.
- Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience determining the resalvability of purchased products.
- Forklift experience.
