The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is hiring an Outpatient Physical Therapist for our Little Rock location. In this integral role, you will treat a general PT population, including orthopaedic and spine conditions. You will provide individualized evaluation and intervention plans, collect functional outcomes data, and participate in mentorship and continuing education.
What You'll Do
- Perform comprehensive patient examinations using appropriate tests and measures, formulate an individualized plan of care, and complete evaluations.
- Provide evidence-based quality patient treatments, monitor physiological status during sessions, and deliver individualized patient education.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and education sessions accurately and submit charges according to regulatory policies.
- Serve as a clinical instructor or mentor and provide education regarding the physical therapy discipline to other UAMS disciplines or the community.
- Participate in multidisciplinary and department communication, including patient care discussions and various meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2002 OR a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2016 OR a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current Arkansas Physical Therapy License or eligibility to obtain license within one (1) month of hire.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Ability to pass state abuse registry checks, a drug screen, submit to a TB skin test, and provide proof of required immunizations.
Nice to Have
- Two (2) years of experience in Physical Therapy.
- Certifications such as OCS, CSCS, or DN Certified.
