StraitsX is looking for an OTC Sales Trader to join our team. In this role, you will support the pricing, execution, and settlement of over-the-counter digital asset trades for institutional, corporate, and high-net-worth clients. You will gain hands-on exposure to crypto markets and OTC trade workflows by working closely with senior traders, sales, and operations.
What You'll Do
- Provide real-time OTC pricing, trade negotiation, and execution.
- Assist in trade negotiation preparation and client communication.
- Help monitor market conditions, including price movements, volatility, and liquidity across venues.
- Assist in sourcing liquidity from internal systems, exchanges, and external partners under supervision.
- Support order management while following established trading limits, risk controls, and compliance guidelines.
- Assist with settlement and post-trade processes, including wallet confirmations and basic reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate trade records and support reporting or documentation needs.
- Participate in client onboarding discussions to learn about trading mechanics, settlement flows, and supported assets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand client needs and contribute ideas for improving OTC processes.
What We're Looking For
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience.
- A strong interest in cryptocurrency markets, trading, and digital assets.
- Detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
- A strong sense of responsibility and willingness to follow procedures and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work well in a team and take feedback positively.
Nice to Have
- Experience preferably in finance, economics, or related fields.
- Basic understanding of financial markets or trading concepts (OTC knowledge is a plus).
