MicroVision seeks an Optical Engineering Manager to lead and grow a team of optical engineers. You will be responsible for the technical direction of optical system development and ensuring project milestones are met.
What You'll Do
- Lead a team of optical engineers, providing technical direction and mentorship
- Oversee the design, development, and validation of complex optical systems
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables for optical engineering projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications
- Drive continuous improvement in optical design processes and methodologies
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in optical engineering with a focus on design and development
- 3+ years of direct people management and technical leadership experience
- Proven track record managing optical projects from concept through to production
- Deep expertise in optical modeling, simulation, and physical prototyping
- Strong communication skills for interfacing with stakeholders across engineering disciplines
