The Ascendancy Group LTD is hiring an Operational Research System Analyst to join a team dedicated to our nation's security. This full-time role is embedded directly within operational planning teams, applying quantitative analysis to solve complex challenges in the Information Environment.

What You'll Do

Define measurable and observable Measures of Effectiveness and track Measures of Performance.
Support assessments of the information environment using opinion research, intelligence, and social media insights.
Contribute to the collection and analysis of social, cultural, economic, and political indicators.
Coordinate and track intelligence requirements across Information Forces and activities.
Participate in the development of intelligence for inclusion in command collection plans.
Assess complex adversary strengths, weaknesses, and capabilities to support planning efforts.
Conduct assessments of information activities and Operations in the Information Environment.
Apply advanced analytical methods like statistics, modeling, and simulations to optimize campaign effectiveness.
Provide operational intelligence services to address Information Related Capabilities requirements.
Help leadership make data-informed decisions about employing Information Forces.

What We're Looking For

A degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Experience applying quantitative methods to military or government problem sets.
Proven ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
Proficiency in modeling, simulation, optimization, and data analysis.
Demonstrated skill in developing and briefing decision support tools to senior leaders.
Familiarity with statistical tools and languages such as R, Python, MATLAB, or SAS.

Nice to Have

Completion of FA49 (Army ORSA) or similar military ORSA training pipeline.
Experience supporting Combatant Commands, the Joint Staff, or DoD components.
Background in Information Operations, Strategic Communications, or Influence Assessment.
Understanding of the Joint Planning Process or campaign design.
Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, D3.js) or network analysis software (Gephi, Palantir, Neo4j).
