Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is looking for an Operating Engineer to join our Retail Property Management Team. In this role, you will support the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems to ensure a safe and well-functioning environment.

What You'll Do

Complete assigned maintenance tasks including painting, pressure washing, lighting system upkeep, plumbing, and HVAC system support for boilers, chillers, compressors, and cooling towers.
Maintain the work order system (CMMS) daily and fulfill tenant service requests promptly.
Monitor tenant improvements to electrical, plumbing, sprinkler, and HVAC systems.
Monitor and manage EMS (Energy Management Systems).
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and detailed inspections.
Support on-call or emergency response situations as needed.
Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical and pneumatic controls.
Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
Read electric and water meters for tracking and reporting.
Perform Fire Life Safety maintenance and testing, including critical systems like emergency power.
Handle seasonal system startup and shutdown procedures.

What We're Looking For

3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
A commitment to comply with all safety procedures.

Nice to Have

Trade school education, union training, military service, or college.
Low pressure boiler operator license.
3rd class refrigeration license.
Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving it within the first year (with JLL assistance).
Low pressure boilers certification.
Third Class Refrigeration certification.
