Wipro is seeking an experienced engineer for a hands-on role focused on telemetry and observability agent engineering. You will be responsible for building and maintaining telemetry ingestion pipelines and Kubernetes-aware agents, primarily using OpenTelemetry and FluentBit, to support our clients' complex digital transformation needs.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain telemetry and observability agents, primarily using OpenTelemetry and FluentBit.
- Program against the Kubernetes API and work with Kubernetes controllers or operators.
- Contribute to open source software (OSS) initiatives relevant to telemetry solutions, including code and documentation.
- Develop and maintain telemetry ingestion pipelines.
- Engage in product design and development for observability tools.
- Participate in capability development through training, certifications, and thought leadership.
- Manage technical teams and contribute to team health metrics.
What We're Looking For
- 8-10 years of overall experience.
- Strong experience with Go (Golang).
- Experience programming against the Kubernetes API.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes controllers or operators OR exposure to Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) platform.
- Contributors to OTel / CNCF (Actively engage in open source software initiatives).
- Cloud Engineering skills.
Nice to Have
- Strong Google Cloud (GCP) preference.
- Experience with C++, Java, or Python.
