Job Position Summary Samsung Open Innovation group in Herzliya is hunting for an Open Innovation Manager to scout and source cutting-edge hardware and software technologies. This is a rare opportunity for a self-driven professional to be a key player in establishing strategic relationships with industry and academic research labs at Samsung. In this role, you'll dive deep into meetings with companies and researchers, assessing their technical and business potential while crafting partnership models that demonstrate a keen understanding of market and technological industry trends. Role and Responsibilities: • Hunt for disruptive companies and academic researchers across Israel in domains relevant to Samsung Electronics, targeting potential R&D partnerships and collaborations • Support Samsung Electronics HQ in Korea with technology sourcing, gathering and analyzing data to provide strategic insights • Conduct initial technology evaluations, assessing usability and potential technological value • Introduce promising solutions to Samsung Research R&D and Open Innovation teams • Generate frequent technology trends reports tailored to specific areas of interest • Build robust relationships with startups in relevant technological fields • Bridge communication between Samsung Korea teams and local technology partners • Craft comprehensive, in-depth technology theme and trend insights reports on weekly and monthly cycles, sharing with top management Skills and Qualifications: • 5-10 years proven experience in: • Theoretical and/or hands-on expertise in electronic components and software algorithms • Technology due diligence processes and establishing strategic collaboration partnerships • Creating in-depth technology theme reports with robust methodology and professional presentation • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, managing multiple projects and priorities • Team player with a high-energy, can-do attitude and strong technological background • Solid understanding of Israeli high-tech and academic ecosystems • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Fluent English (speaking, reading, writing) - Mandatory • Experience with multinational corporations - Advantageous * Please visit Samsung membership to see Privacy Policy, which defaults according to your location.
