NeoGenomics is hiring an Oncology Sales Specialist - Tampa

This role is responsible for advancing the adoption of molecular diagnostic solutions within oncology practices across the greater Tampa to Marco Island territory. Acting as an overlay specialist, the individual will collaborate closely with Territory Business Managers and Regional Directors to strengthen customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth expertise in molecular diagnostics, including company offerings, competitive landscape, and reimbursement policies
  • Partner with internal teams to engage Tier A, B, and C accounts and enhance account value
  • Identify and target high-potential oncology groups by analyzing clinical needs, buying behaviors, and practice dynamics
  • Deliver consultative sales support to oncologists and laboratory decision-makers
  • Monitor market trends and provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Maintain up-to-date intelligence on competitors, distributors, and regional market conditions
  • Contribute strategic ideas that support business growth and mission objectives

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a life science or business-related field and possess a valid driver’s license. Preferred applicants will have an MBA and at least five years of successful sales experience in oncology diagnostics or pharmaceuticals. Strong closing ability, formal sales training, and excellent communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate demonstrates the capacity to learn complex product information and present it effectively to clinical stakeholders.

Work Environment
