Merck & Co., Inc. / Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC is hiring a Senior Customer Representative for Oncology Sales. In this role, you will be responsible for actively promoting company products within designated territories, building strong relationships with medical institutions, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets to drive market share growth.
What You’ll Do
- Achieve specified product targets, market share, and growth rate in your region while managing resources and expenses effectively.
- Develop and execute visitation plans for medical institutions according to required coverage and frequency.
- Provide medical information and introduce products using appropriate promotion techniques and materials.
- Maintain high-level professional visits to establish long-term, cooperative relationships with medical institutions.
- Explore market potential and develop new opportunities to grow company product market share.
- Execute company market development strategies and complete new product procurement plans.
- Organize academic activities aligned with promotion strategies to support product awareness.
- Build, update, and maintain accurate medical institution data to plan visits and actions.
- Analyze regional situations regularly to identify and focus on key development areas.
- Inform medical institution staff about services, products, pricing, supply channels, and market developments.
- Monitor inventory and procurement at institutions to ensure adequate stock and prevent shortages.
- Ensure monthly product consumption and prevent product expiration returns.
- Coordinate with market and commercial departments to maintain relationships with hospital experts for successful bidding and medical insurance catalog reviews.
- Understand competitive products and activities, gathering market intelligence to report to management.
- Complete various reports accurately and on schedule.
- Use company expenses and resources effectively and responsibly.
- Master complete and updated product knowledge to ensure promotion information aligns with marketing guidelines.
- Continuously learn and skillfully use product-related materials and other resources provided by the marketing department.
- Read medical journals, articles, and reports related to products.
- Understand knowledge of competitors’ similar products.
- Comply strictly with company SOPs, financial systems, and ethical standards in all daily work.
- Maintain a professional image through attire and behavior that meets company standards.
- Demonstrate dedication and actively engage in job responsibilities.
- Participate actively in team activities, sharing information and helping colleagues to promote personal and team development.
- Complete temporary tasks assigned by supervisors.
What We’re Looking For
- A college diploma or higher; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- A major in Medicine, Pharmacy, or a related field is preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience as a hospital pharmaceutical representative.
- Experience working in a foreign pharmaceutical company is preferred.
