Mass General Brigham is looking for a per diem Occupational Therapist to join our inpatient team. In this role, you'll help people of all ages participate in the activities and occupations important to them, working with individuals who have physical, cognitive, developmental, or emotional challenges.
What You'll Do
- Conduct assessments of patients' physical, mental, and developmental abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on your assessments.
- Implement and monitor treatment plans, adjusting as needed.
- Provide education to patients and their families about therapeutic activities and exercises they can do at home.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes.
- Attend staff meetings, continuing education programs, and professional development activities to stay current with new techniques and best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current Occupational Therapist State License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice to Have
- 0-1 year of experience as an occupational therapist.
- 0-1 year of experience in a residential/assisted living or skilled nursing facility.
