Mass General Brigham is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Blake 8 Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (SICU) at Massachusetts General Hospital. In this role, you will deliver patient and family-centered care to a highly acute population requiring surgical and percutaneous cardiac interventions. You will work within a multidisciplinary team at a hospital recognized for its patient care, research, teaching, community service mission, and Magnet®-designated nursing team.
What You'll Do
- Maintain accurate, detailed patient reports and records.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
- Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Modify patient treatment plans based on patients' responses and conditions.
What We're Looking For
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience or current ICU experience.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- 0-1 years of clinical nursing experience.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse [RN - State License].

- Continuous renal replacement therapies
- Intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation
- Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation
Team & Environment
You'll join a multidisciplinary team in an 18-bed Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit. The unit is supported by a leadership team including a Nursing Director, a Medical Director/Intensivist, and a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist.
Work Mode
This position is onsite at our location on 273 Charles Street.
