Boulder Care is looking for a Nurse Practitioner – Addiction Medicine to deliver fully virtual, evidence-based care for opioid use disorder. In this role, you'll provide compassionate, patient-centered support aligned with harm reduction principles.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care in a structured, fully remote environment.
- Support patient recovery through a nonjudgmental, harm-reduction approach.
- Prescribe buprenorphine-based medications for opioid use disorder in an outpatient setting, including initiating care.
What We're Looking For
- Residency in one of these states: AK, AZ, CO, FL, ID, KS, MD, NC, NH, NM, NY, OH, OR, WA, WY.
- An active Nurse Practitioner license in your state of residence.
- At least 1 year of experience in an independent, outpatient setting where you regularly prescribed buprenorphine-based medications—including initiating care—as a core part of your daily practice.
- Interest in full-time work: 30-40 hours/week, with shifts ending at 6pm in your local time zone.
- Strong patient-centered practice and ability to work autonomously.
- A private workspace with a HIPAA-compliant setup.
Nice to Have
- Advanced certification: PMHNP or CARN-AP.
Team & Environment
You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary Care Team and have access to an NP Supervisor during shifts.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $130k–$140k (up to $145k in select high-cost markets); pro-rated for less than 40 hours per week.
- W2 employment with health, dental, and vision coverage (Boulder covers up to 100% for individuals, 60% for dependents).
- 4 weeks/year of PTO (5 weeks after 2 years) and 9 paid holidays.
- 12 weeks fully paid parental leave (after 6 months).
- CME time & funds, licensing/waiver coverage, and provided hardware.
- Mental health support via EAP and Talkspace.
Work Mode
This role is fully remote. The position is listed for Columbus, Ohio, but is open to qualified candidates residing in the specified states.
