Responsibilities
- Monitor network and server alerts continuously using NOC monitoring tools as part of 24x7 shift operations
- Conduct initial-level troubleshooting for incidents involving network connectivity, firewalls, and Windows servers
- Oversee and maintain firewall, VPN, and security infrastructure performance
- React to alerts concerning firewall status and traffic patterns
- Address alerts related to network latency, packet loss, and service outages
- Respond to notifications about potential security threats and breaches of policy
- Carry out fundamental firewall operations including rule verification and deployment per standard procedures
- Monitor VPN connections and perform elementary troubleshooting as needed
- Escalate unresolved technical issues to higher-tier support teams with complete documentation
- Follow established procedures for managing incidents, problems, and changes
- Keep tickets updated and provide clear shift handover notes
- Ensure compliance with SLAs and achieve timely resolution of incidents
- Support regular system checks, backup operations, and compliance audits
