Role OverviewThe Neuroscience Specialist drives meaningful engagement with healthcare providers (HCPs) in the central nervous system (CNS), psychiatry, and ADHD treatment spaces. Using in-person, virtual, and digital channels, the specialist delivers accurate, on-label information to support clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes. Reporting to the Area Business Lead, this position serves as a key liaison between medical professionals and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive outreach to HCPs on topics including product access, clinical guidance, and appropriate use of therapies
- Utilize virtual and digital tools to maintain consistent engagement with customers across the territory
- Direct inquiries to appropriate internal resources, such as Customer Service Specialists, when necessary
- Organize and lead speaker programs and local provider forums to exchange insights on treatment experiences and patient outcomes
- Collect and share local market feedback and opportunities with leadership to shape regional strategy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine targeting and engagement plans based on field insights
- Stay current on clinical data, product information, and regulatory standards to ensure compliant communication
Qualifications
Applicants must have at least two years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales and a minimum of four years in a customer-facing role promoting healthcare products. Candidates should reside within 50 miles of the primary territory city and hold a valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record. The ideal candidate thrives in evolving environments, demonstrates strong ethical judgment, and can clearly convey complex medical information.
Preferred qualifications include prior work in CNS, psychiatry, or ADHD, as well as experience launching new products or indications. The role may require overnight travel depending on geographic needs.
Work Environment
This is a local field position supporting areas including Wilmington, Atkinson, Ash, and Bolivia, NC. The role blends in-person visits with virtual and digital engagement. Professionals in this position use approved promotional materials, clinical references, sales analytics, and digital platforms to support outreach and strategy development.
