Role Overview
This position focuses on deepening connections with healthcare providers in the Central Nervous System (CNS) therapeutic area. The specialist will lead educational initiatives, support clinical discussions, and deliver accurate, on-label information through in-person visits, virtual platforms, and digital resources to enhance patient outcomes and inform local business planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage healthcare professionals through virtual and digital channels to discuss treatment options, access support, and clinical guidance
- Coordinate and lead speaker programs that foster knowledge exchange among providers
- Organize regional forums for clinicians to share insights on patient care experiences and treatment outcomes
- Channel customer inquiries to appropriate internal teams, such as Customer Service Specialists, when needed
- Collect and share market feedback with leadership to shape local strategy and improve engagement quality
- Use sales data, competitive intelligence, and business reports to identify growth areas and adjust outreach plans
- Stay informed about payer policies and reimbursement processes to support office staff efficiency
- Apply approved promotional and technical materials confidently during office visits to support informed decision-making
- Build relationships with key practice personnel, emphasizing patient-centered care in all interactions
- Respond to competitive dynamics in compliance with regulatory standards and company guidelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine targeting and optimize territory planning
- Stay current with available internal resources and leverage them to enhance customer support
Qualifications
Candidates must have at least two years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales, with four or more years in direct sales roles engaging healthcare providers. A solid understanding of complex clinical data and the ability to communicate it clearly is essential. Applicants should reside within 50 miles of the primary territory city and hold a valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record. Willingness to travel overnight may be required based on territory needs.
Preferred candidates will have prior experience in CNS, psychiatry, or ADHD therapeutics, as well as a track record in launching new products or indications.
Work Environment
This is a field-based role serving the Evanston, Chicago, Waukegan, and Des Plaines areas. The position requires regular travel within the territory, with flexibility for overnight trips as needed. The role operates within a compliant, patient-focused framework, leveraging digital tools and virtual platforms to maintain consistent engagement.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $107,362 to $166,750 annually, plus incentive opportunities.
