About the Role

ActioNet, Inc. is looking for a hands-on Network Operations Engineer. In this Tier II role, you will maintain and repair wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions in response to network faults and incidents. You will perform site surveys, configuration, and documentation for network services.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain and fix wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions in response to network faults, incidents, and problems.
  • Provide hands-on touch labor for all network devices and perform break/fix and maintenance activities.
  • Oversee monitoring of network assets against SLAs and monitor dashboards to analyze and troubleshoot escalated incidents.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for LAN, WAN, firewalls, and other network technologies.
  • Investigate and diagnose incidents to restore failed network services and lead root cause analysis.
  • Install and support remote access platforms including VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.
  • Assess and implement Change Requests following the Change Management process.
  • Perform site surveys, configuration and engineering, installation planning, and documentation for all network services.

What We're Looking For

  • A technical BA/BS degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Alternatively, a High School diploma or associate degree plus a minimum of 7 years performing as a Network Operations Engineer supporting large, complex networks in a Network Operations Center environment.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Baseline Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or CCNA-SEC).
  • CCNA or equivalent certification.
  • An active Secret clearance.

Nice to Have

  • ITIL v3 or ITSM experience.
  • Experience supporting DAF and local base environments.
