This position plays a key role in maintaining compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards, particularly in the areas of Operations and Planning (O&P). The specialist will be responsible for interpreting regulatory requirements, tracking compliance obligations, and ensuring accurate reporting across relevant departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and implement NERC O&P reliability standards as they apply to power system operations
- Prepare and maintain compliance documentation, including evidence for audits and periodic submissions
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess compliance readiness and identify potential risks
- Support compliance audits and coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries
- Track changes in standards and advise stakeholders on necessary actions
Qualifications
Candidates should have a solid understanding of the electric utility industry and NERC regulatory frameworks.
