Position OverviewThe Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or Senior MSL plays a key role in advancing scientific engagement within the lung solid tumor space across Florida. As a field-based medical expert, this position serves as a bridge between AbbVie and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, researchers, and clinical investigators.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with R&D to support clinical research activities such as site identification, investigator engagement, and expert recruitment.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external experts in oncology, focusing on lung solid tumors within the assigned region.
- Deliver accurate, up-to-date scientific and disease-state education to healthcare professionals throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collect and share real-world insights from the field to inform internal strategy and medical planning.
- Develop and implement a territory plan aligned with medical and commercial goals, ensuring consistent engagement across key accounts.
- Support medical readiness for emerging therapeutic areas by building awareness and credibility within the medical community.
- Act as a scientific partner to internal teams, contributing to advisory boards, congress events, and training programs.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and ensure ethical use of resources in all activities.
- Stay current with evolving clinical data, market trends, and therapeutic advancements relevant to lung cancer care.
- Accurately document interactions and insights using internal systems to support team-wide knowledge sharing.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in Florida, requiring the candidate to live within a reasonable travel distance of major medical centers in the state. While remote work is supported, regular field engagement with institutions and experts is expected.
