MSF International is hiring a MSF Speaking Out studies Digital Communications work-study trainee (contrat d'alternance)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and executing digital communication strategies to boost visibility and engagement for the Speaking Out Case Studies initiative.
  • Support the development and coordination of multi-channel campaigns via email, LinkedIn, and the SOCS Sharepoint platform.
  • Develop campaign schedules and manage content distribution in line with project milestones and organizational priorities.
  • Monitor campaign analytics to assess performance and recommend improvements for greater reach and impact.
  • Contribute to growing audience engagement and community interaction efforts.
  • Produce clear, compelling written content in both English and French, including emails, LinkedIn posts, interviews, web copy, and promotional materials.
  • Transform complex information into accessible and engaging communication materials.
  • Help identify compelling narratives and strategic communication opportunities.
  • Ensure consistent tone, editorial quality, and messaging across all communication channels.
  • Assist with proofreading and adapting existing content for clarity and effectiveness.
  • Support updates and improvements to content on the SOCS website and Sharepoint page.
  • Optimize digital content for online audiences and search engine visibility, with awareness of SEO principles preferred.
  • Help enhance the usability and accessibility of digital resources for diverse users.
  • Track key communication metrics and prepare performance reports.
  • Use audience engagement data and insights to guide future communication planning.

II. POSITION BACKGROUND

The Speaking Out Case Studies (SOCS) is a collection of research publications by Médecins Sans Frontières that critically reviews the organization’s decisions to speak out—or remain silent—during humanitarian crises. These case studies explore ethical challenges, operational constraints, and public controversies in MSF's history. Fourteen case studies and four podcast series are published in English and French at www.msf.org/speakingout. Educational courses based on SOCS are also available on TEMBO, MSF’s learning platform: https://tembo.msf.org/

III. PLACE IN THE ORGANISATION

The SOCS Communications work-study trainee is integrated within the SOCS team, reporting directly to the SOCS project manager and collaborating closely with other team members.
