International SOS Government Medical Services is hiring an MRI Technician for a critical travel PRN opportunity. In this role, you will support the John Hopkins research team on behalf of the US Department of State as part of a worldwide rapid deployment team. You must be prepared to deploy internationally within 72 hours of notification to observe MRI scans and ensure protocol adherence.
What You'll Do
- Travel internationally with the team within 72 hours of notification.
- Conduct MRI procedures in accordance with (IAW) the established protocol.
- Observe the local MRI technician performing the procedure.
- Download images, safeguard them, and deliver them to the client.
- Maintain all supplies and equipment throughout travel.
- Submit travel vouchers within 5 days of return.
- Complete all required organizational compliance education, including client-specified certification requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited program for MRI technology/certificate programs.
- Certificate from the American Registry of Radiological Technicians (ARRT).
- Ability to successfully perform Basic Life Support (BLS) interventions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an MRI Technician.
- Experience using General Electric (GE), Philips Healthcare, Siemens, Toshiba, and Cannon medical MRI devices.
- MRI with contrast experience.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card holder.
- Ability to travel internationally within 72 hours of notification.
- A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a remote or austere setting.
- Experience placing Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PIV's).
