Expedia Group is hiring a Mobile Engineer II to build user-centric Android applications. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, create designs, and deliver products from inception to launch.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to help define business and feature requirements.
- Develop a deep understanding of target users through profiles, task analysis, user scenarios, and feedback.
- Create process flows, wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and detailed UI specifications.
- Request and drive user research and usability tests as needed.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, analytics, and research to take products from inception to launch.
- Build an understanding of our customers via qualitative and quantitative insights and advocate for them in design decisions.
- Present design work to the product team, engineering team, and external partners for review and feedback.
- Contribute to user interface design and development best practices and standards at Expedia.
- Partner with highly technical development teams for product launch.
- Handle multiple projects in an agile, fast-paced environment.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in software engineering, Android development, or a related occupation.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Android development.
- Experience with unit testing, monitoring applications, and test scripting.
- Understanding of user experience principles and debugging.
- Knowledge of API access and moderately complex systems.

Compensation ranges from $112,000 to $179,000 per year for Seattle, WA. Starting pay varies based on location, budget, and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.

This is a hybrid position based in Seattle, Washington.
