DuPont is hiring a MIQA & Reliability Engineer to provide engineering leadership for MIQA programs within the site Process Safety Management (PSM) system. What You'll Do
- Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Implement applicable MIQA statutory and regulatory requirements for PSM-related equipment.
- Establish Maintenance Repair & Operating (MRO) data in SAP and execute effective quality management processes for newly established PSM critical equipment.
- Lead as a subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
- Apply engineering theory and practices to perform failure analysis, such as RCFA and 5-why, to determine root cause of equipment failures and conduct performance evaluations.
- Prioritize and drive reliability improvements based on cost, business objectives, and reliability analysis.
- Execute activities of the site MIQA heat map and action plans as directed by site leadership.
- Develop quality assurance plans and set up maintenance plans in SAP for minor capital projects.
- Promote consistency by standardizing equipment and providing technical expertise for installation, check-out, maintenance procedures, and start-up of all new critical equipment.
- Work with maintenance supervision, planners, and mechanics to develop equipment repair procedures.
- Provide coaching and support to maintenance technicians in preventative-predictive maintenance programs including lubrication, vibration, ISO calibration, and PM optimization.
- Support identification of necessary spare parts for new and existing equipment.
- Support mechanical turn-around/shutdown teams by providing input and leadership into needed equipment inspection and repair procedures.
- Ensure test and inspection plans, repairs, and changes are implemented following the MI program and comply with statutory, regulatory, and RAGAGEP requirements.
- Participate in Regional and/or Business MIQA and reliability networks to ensure effective information transfer and contribute to initiatives.
- Ensure the role of contractor administrator for the Site.
- After gaining sufficient experience, may be considered for inclusion in the on-call team.
What We're Looking For
- BS in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.
- Experience in a chemical or manufacturing plant (or related industry).
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good English written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team member in a respectful manner in a diverse work environment.
Nice to Have
- Work experience in manufacturing with a focus on MIQA, reliability, or Process Safety Management.
- Understands MIQA policy requirements for Process Safety Management (S21A), statutory & regulatory requirements, and RAGAGEPs.
- Understands the Maintenance Work Management Process (WMP) and its impact upon MIQA.
