Allianz is hiring a Middle Office Accounting Senior Expert to uphold the integrity and quality of accounting data for our global operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing essential accounting calculations, closing activities, regulatory reporting, and the administration of our accounting systems. You will also act as a key expert user in transformation initiatives, such as system rollouts and process harmonization.
What You'll Do
- Perform calculations for bad debts, provisions, accruals, and fixed assets.
- Safeguard the data quality, accuracy, and timeliness of postings in accounting systems.
- Evaluate the performance of AP/AR and other departments to enhance transactional accounting.
- Conduct sanity checks on suspense accounts, premiums, service revenue, claims, commissions, payroll, investments, FX, and tax.
- Ensure closing quality assurance and compliance with standard booking schemes and global accounting policies.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monitor and report on closing progress.
- Supervise or perform ECCS uploads.
- Lead post-mortem reviews to identify issues, track resolutions, and implement process improvements.
- Prepare statutory reports, deliver regulatory reports, and produce specific regulatory or business-required reporting.
- Manage access rights, including user and account setup.
- Configure and administer GRP (tables, interfaces, and settings).
- Oversee incident management related to accounting systems.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams involved in closing, reporting, or transformation initiatives.
- Contribute as an expert key user in accounting transformation projects, including system rollout, process harmonization, and new business onboarding.
- Support additional month-end closing tasks or ad-hoc accounting matters.
