Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, LLP is hiring a Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. In this role, you will handle a variety of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, gaining valuable experience and professional growth through collaboration and direct mentorship.
What You'll Do
- Manage a variety of litigation matters, including wrongful death, catastrophic injury, construction, business disputes, and tort claims.
- Handle all case aspects including legal strategy, research, drafting pleadings and motions, discovery, motion hearings, mediations, and trial.
- Work directly with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations.
What We're Looking For
- Current admission to the California State Bar.
- 2+ years of civil litigation experience.
- At least one year of experience defending tort claims.
- Proven experience in preparing pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, drafting motions and briefs, taking and defending depositions, client communication, and court appearances.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Remote candidates must reside in Southern California and be able to commute to either our Newport Beach or Encinitas office for occasional meetings.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in arguing motions as well as attending mediations and arbitrations.
- Trial experience.
