Australian Unity is looking for a Mental Health Coach to provide brief phone and webchat support to service users presenting with mental health concerns. This is a fully remote, work-from-home position delivering essential front-line support as part of our partnership with Beyond Blue.
What You'll Do
- Deliver brief phone and webchat support to service users with mental health concerns.
- Provide front-line support to help seekers experiencing emotional distress, anxiety, and depression symptoms.
What We're Looking For
- A tertiary qualification such as a Diploma in Counselling, Mental Health, Psychology, Youth Work and Youth Justice, Endorsed Enrolled Nurse qualification, or Paramedical Science.
- Proven experience in an office-based, corporate, or contact center environment, with a strong emphasis on managing calls and using computer-based systems daily.
- Demonstrated resilience and ability to cope with a high volume of calls and chats discussing complex mental health symptoms and life circumstances.
- Strong IT skills and proficiency in telephony-based systems, comfortable navigating multiple software applications and digital note-taking.
- Self-motivated and tech savvy with excellent administration and time management skills.
- Willingness to collaborate within a team to support mutual learning and engage in continuous professional development.
- A warm, empathic, kind, and patient approach.
- A private room or space for a home office setup with a reliable and stable internet connection.
Team & Environment
You will join a community-based team. We are hiring two Coaches for specific shift options and eight Coaches for others, fostering a supportive group environment.
