OpenHands is hiring a Member of Technical Staff to join our Agent R&D team. In this role, you will be responsible for research and development activities focused on advancing our AI agent framework. You will incorporate research, make novel improvements, and build infrastructure to enhance agent performance and efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Incorporate the best research work on agents and code generation into the OpenHands framework.
- Perform novel improvements in areas of interest to improve agent performance and efficiency.
- Run and implement evaluations to ensure agent quality.
- Implement infrastructure related to evaluating or serving code generation agents.
- Collaborate with the open-source community on research initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Significant research in LLM-based agents, code generation, or software engineering.
- Practical agent engineering experience, including harness development, training, evaluation, and deployment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with use of agents in enterprise settings.
- Experience in collaborative development of AI related projects, particularly open source.
Benefits & Compensation
- $150,000 – $220,000 base salary + equity.
