Support high-quality primary care by serving as a Medical Scribe for a growing national provider focused on senior health. You'll work hand-in-hand with clinicians to capture patient encounters in real time, ensuring accurate and thorough electronic health record documentation. This hybrid-remote position is available exclusively to residents of Arizona and blends in-clinic presence with remote documentation support after an initial training period.
What You’ll Do
- Observe patient visits alongside providers and create structured clinical notes, including history, exam findings, assessment, and treatment plans
- Apply correct CPT and ICD-10 codes to support billing and care coordination
- Generate After Visit Summaries and assist with order entry and referrals
- Review and request prior medical records to inform current care
- Collaborate with providers to refine documentation and support clinical accuracy
- Engage in daily team huddles and documentation reviews to improve care quality
- Use population health tools to enhance clinical data integrity
- Complete assigned tasks that support documentation and care team efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Familiarity with medical terminology and common medications, gained through pre-med studies or direct clinical exposure
- Proven experience in a healthcare setting, such as shadowing, volunteering, or patient support roles
- Exceptional listening and written communication skills
- Typing speed of at least 70 words per minute
- Strong technical aptitude and comfort learning new software and clinical workflows
- Reliability and consistent attendance, with ability to work in-person at clinic locations
- Commitment to remain in the role for at least one year (two or more preferred)
- Full-time availability during clinic hours, approximately 40–45 hours per week
- Compliance with privacy standards and organizational policies, including HIPAA
- U.S. work authorization and residency in Arizona
Preferred Background
- Previous experience as a scribe or medical transcriptionist
- Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by patients in our communities
