Petal is looking for a Medical Billing Technician to own the entire medical billing cycle for clients on a biweekly schedule. You will be a key member of our billing operations team, balancing individual file ownership with collaborative team tasks to ensure accurate and timely processing.
What You'll Do
- Validate medical billing entries made by clients using specialized software.
- Write follow-up notes and updates for client files.
- Verify account statements, analyze errors, and reissue unpaid claims.
- Deliver impeccable customer service through messaging and phone calls.
- Prepare various reports to manage the complete billing cycle.
- Participate in continuous internal training on medical billing processes.
- Perform any other related tasks as required.
What We're Looking For
- A college diploma in office administration, administrative technology, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiarity with web and mobile applications, and ease with technology tools.
- Ability to manage priorities and handle stress effectively during peak periods.
- A strong sense of responsibility and prioritization.
- Proficiency in both English and French (spoken, written, and reading).
Nice to Have
- Experience in RAMQ medical billing is considered a major asset.
