Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is looking for a Medical Assistant | Urology to join our team. You will be a key member of the patient care team in the outpatient oncology setting, working closely with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to deliver an exceptional patient experience.

What You'll Do

Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness and safety, while helping to maintain par levels of medical supplies.
Complete rooming functions, reviewing allergies, medical records, and medication lists as required.
Obtain vital signs, perform point-of-care tests, obtain blood specimens via venipuncture, and perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) according to established policies.
Prepare patients for procedures, assemble appropriate supplies and equipment, and assist as directed by clinician.
Track patient flow and document patient interactions.
Adhere to infection control and safety procedures, maintain cleanliness in patient care environments, and handle personal protective equipment and hygiene products effectively.

What We're Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program and eligibility for relevant specialized certifications.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification.
Demonstrated strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Basic proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and email systems.

Nice to Have

National Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or registration by a recognized credentialing body such as CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA.
Previous experience in a medical assistant role within an outpatient setting.
Familiarity with OSHA standards and multi-specialty experience in a high-volume setting.

Benefits & Compensation

Pay Range: $23.54 - $35.44
