Mass General Brigham is looking for an Operating Room Assistant at Brigham and Women's Hospital to play a key role in ensuring excellent patient care and maintaining safety standards within the operating room. You will provide dedicated medical assistance and promote a patient/family-focused care environment.
What You'll Do
- Promote a philosophy of patient/family-focused care through cordial greetings and interactions.
- Provide hospital/unit orientation information for patients, families, and guests.
- Demonstrate awareness of hospital systems, procedures, and department locations.
- Refer patients, families, and others to appropriate resources.
- Independently transport and assist in the transfer of patients.
- Properly identify patients utilizing two approved identifiers.
- Ensure safety and support measures during patient transfer, such as raised bedrails and proper covering.
- Maintain awareness of special precautions for patients with specific needs.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Nice to Have
- 1 year of medical office, hospital, or managed care experience.
- 1 year of operating room experience.
Team & Environment
Works collaboratively with the surgical team.
