Moog is hiring an Associate Planning Analyst to be the central base upon which all phases of Production Control operations are planned, controlled, and monitored. You will ensure the on-time completion of Moog's commitments by managing the entire program or value stream, from component parts acquisition to the shipping of end items.
What You'll Do
- Analyze and maintain part planning parameters aligned with the established materials strategy, inventory plan, and business demand profile.
- Convert demand signals into Work Orders using defined Planning systems and processes.
- Track and action material shortages and lead times to mitigate risks to the production plan.
- Develop achievable and balanced production plans aligned with customer schedules through capacity analysis and team collaboration. Escalate any impacts.
- Determine Engineering Order change effectiveness and impacts on schedules or obsolescence management.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss piece part and program status, and support audits for customer owned inventory.
- Manage WIP on planner code and maintain optimal inventory levels for the value stream.
- Provide work center scheduling methods and clear-to-build status.
- Facilitate the analysis, review, and update of Planning Bill of Materials (PBOMs) based on demand changes.
- Construct Line of Balance (LOBs), communicate identified gaps and priorities, and monitor progress to completion.
- Maintain consistent production flow through order expediting, releasing and tracking prove out work orders, and performing aging WIP reviews.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Planning department and Value Stream teams.
What We're Looking For
- A 4-year university degree and at least 3 years of prior relevant experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to demonstrate an understanding of complex regulations and procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- The ability to prioritize a variety of tasks simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Nice to Have
- A planning, operations, or technical background.
- APICS or other industry standard certifications.
